The majority of this project was shot on Portra 400 film – above you can see unedited scans with the film type and negative number along the sides.
When scanned at high enough resolutions, Portra 120 film is capable of producing files large enough to make prints of almost 4ft x 3ft without any loss of quality – the equivalent to 144 megapixels.
What you’re viewing here however are much smaller versions; these are resized to have the longest edge at 2560 pixels, and reduced in ‘quality’ by 50% to make them more web-friendly. The original’s, if scanned at a high DPI, would be over 13000 pixels on the longest edge!
